At Les Seviques, we continue to advance in our commitment to a method of cultivation that cares for the land and respects natural processes. A path that now leads us to become part of the Alliance for Real Regenerative Agriculture, promoted by The Regen Institute.
Our application to this initiative has been accepted, and with it, we join producers, companies, entities, and individuals who share the same way of understanding regenerative agriculture: ecological, rigorous, measurable, transparent, and free from greenwashing.
For us, being part of this alliance does not mean starting a new journey, but rather continuing to advance on the one we have already chosen for our farm.
An alliance to defend real regeneration
Regenerative agriculture is becoming increasingly present, but so is the use of the term to define very different ways of working the land.
The Alliance for Real Regenerative Agriculture was created precisely to protect the meaning of regeneration and highlight the work of those who seek to generate real change on the land. It advocates for agriculture based on living soils and biodiversity, ecological and free of synthetic chemicals, viable for those who work the land, and with results that can be measured and communicated transparently.
A vision we identify with and that connects with the way we want to continue working at Les Seviques.
Caring for the soil and working with nature
On our farm, we understand that taking care of the soil is essential to taking care of everything that grows on it.
That is why we seek to move toward an agriculture in which the soil, biodiversity, and the natural balance of the environment play a leading role. Working with nature, and not apart from it, involves observing, learning, and adapting our way of farming.
We do not see regenerative agriculture as a one-time action or a label. For us, it is a process of continuous learning and improvement, in which every decision we make on the farm is part of a common goal: to care for and improve the land we cultivate.
A commitment that goes beyond Les Seviques
Being part of this alliance also means adding our voice to a movement that wants to achieve greater recognition for regenerative agriculture.
The Regen Institute presents the initiative as a meeting point for producers, companies, entities, and citizens, with the desire to bring this vision of agriculture to consumers, companies, and institutions.
We believe that sharing experiences, generating knowledge, and giving visibility to the practices being carried out in the field is also a way of contributing to change.
Continuing to advance toward regenerative agriculture
Our incorporation into the Alliance for Real Regenerative Agriculture is one more step on the path we are traveling at Les Seviques.
We will continue to work, learn, and incorporate practices that allow us to care for the soil, favor biodiversity, and cultivate while respecting the natural cycles of our farm.
Because caring for the soil, recovering biodiversity, and working with nature is not a trend: it is the path we want to follow.
And at Les Seviques, we continue along it.
