The farm is beginning the process to obtain the Regen Foods Certified seal, an international certification that recognizes agricultural systems that regenerate soil, foster biodiversity, and improve the functioning of agricultural ecosystems.
At Les Seviques, we believe that agriculture should leave the land in better condition than we found it. Our project was born with this idea: to produce food while regenerating the soil, fostering biodiversity, and caring for the agricultural landscape.
For this reason, we have begun the regenerative agriculture certification process for the products we cultivate and produce on the farm, with the goal of obtaining the Regen Foods Certified seal, which verifies compliance with regenerative production standards.
This step represents a new stage for the farm and a way to independently verify the regenerative work we have been developing for years.
Regenerative agriculture at Les Seviques
On the farm, we apply a model of regenerative agriculture based on practices that seek to improve soil health and the balance of the agricultural ecosystem.
Among the main practices we implement are:
- Sown cover crops, which protect and nourish the soil throughout the year.
- Absence of tillage, preventing the degradation of soil structure.
- Efficient drip irrigation, optimizing water use.
- Biodiversity infrastructure, such as insect hotels, beehives, nests for birds of prey, and bat shelters.
- Agricultural management aimed at promoting soil life and the natural processes of the ecosystem.
These practices progressively improve soil fertility, increase biodiversity, and make the agricultural system more resilient to climate change.
The Regen Foods Certified seal
The Regen Foods Certified certification is part of a verification system promoted by The Regen Institute, an entity dedicated to promoting regenerative agriculture standards based on improving agricultural ecosystems.
The program evaluates both the agricultural practices applied and the results obtained on the ground, analyzing the evolution of the soil, biodiversity, and the ecological functioning of the farm over time.
This approach ensures that certified farms not only apply sustainable practices but are truly regenerating the agricultural system.

A commitment to the regeneration of the agricultural landscape
For us, regenerative agriculture is not a label, but a way of understanding the relationship between agriculture, soil, and landscape.
Each season, we continue to learn, observe, and adjust our management to work more and more in balance with nature. Starting this certification process is also a way to share that commitment with greater transparency.
Over the next few months, we will continue to advance through the different phases of the process together with the program's technical team.
At Les Seviques, we understand agriculture as a tool to regenerate the land and the landscape around us. This certification process is one more step on that path: to measure, improve, and demonstrate that it is possible to produce food while caring for the soil that makes it possible.
