Learning and measuring to regenerate and improve: applying the techniques of The Regen Academy by Francesc Font

From learning to practice. Our commitment to the land is no accident: it stems from a desire to improve every day, to observe rigorously, and to train with role models who drive real change in agriculture. Along this path, we participate in The Regen Academy by Francesc Font, a comprehensive regenerative agriculture program designed to turn knowledge into action and transform farm management from the ground up: the soil, the water, and the life that sustains the agroecosystem.

What is The Regen Academy?

The Regen Academy is a regenerative agriculture training academy created by Francesc Font (farmer and agricultural engineer) and his team, with the aim of transferring applied experience and supporting the transition of farms towards more resilient, efficient and living models.

The training program is structured around The Regen 360° method, a comprehensive approach to designing, managing, and regenerating entire agricultural systems. Its focus is eminently practical, combining concrete tools and applied learning to drive measurable improvements on the ground and in the overall functioning of the farm.

What we have learned:

  • Regenerative design principles, such as Keyline , holistic approach and permaculture.
  • Strategies to recover degraded soils and reactivate soil biology (microbial life and structure).
  • Efficient water management and systems for collection, infiltration and retention.
  • Management of plant cover, service crops and composting to activate nutrient cycles.
  • Integration of livestock as a tool to regenerate soil, pasture and landscape with planned management.
  • Increased biodiversity and creation of functional habitats.
  • Design of resilient, biodiverse and productive farms in the long term.

This learning allows us to make decisions with a regenerative and productive approach, understanding the farm as a living system: improving the actual fertility of the soil, closing cycles, increasing water infiltration and retention, and strengthening biodiversity as the foundation of stable and sustainable production. In this way, we move towards our goal: to make Les Sevices an increasingly vibrant, diverse, and self-sufficient farm, capable of regenerating today without compromising tomorrow.
