We promote regenerative agriculture in the Life eCOAdapt50

On April 18, Les Seviques had the privilege of participating as a local actor in the “Workshop: Living Laboratory for Climate Change in Terres de l'Ebre”, organized by the Center for Climate Resilience of Eurecat, within the framework of the European project LIFE eCOAdapt50. This event, held in Terres de l'Ebre, marked the beginning of a key initiative to define and activate climate adaptation actions in the territory. Through regenerative agriculture, at Les Seviques we have been working for some time to recover soil life, improve biodiversity and adapt to climate challenges with agricultural practices that respect natural cycles.

A transformative encounter

During the day, more than 45 people from different fields brought together knowledge, experience and commitment for a common cause: adapting Terres de l'Ebre to the climate challenges of the present and the future. The result was a list of concrete actions, updated and agreed upon, which will become the basis for the work of the coming years within the Life eCOadapt50 project. An important milestone, not only for the territory, but also for initiatives like ours that want to demonstrate that another way of doing agriculture is possible.

Regenerative agriculture for a living territory

At Les Seviques, we have been committed to regenerative agriculture for years, focused on recovering soil life, increasing biodiversity and making intelligent and conscious use of natural resources. We talk about practices such as:

  • Permanent plant cover, to protect the soil and prevent erosion.

  • Do not plow, to preserve the structure and microbiology of the soil.

  • Integration of livestock and agriculture, to close natural nutrient cycles.

  • Decompaction and better water management, to deal with drought and soil degradation.

  • And all this, without chemical fertilizers or pesticides, only with the force of nature and the intelligence of agroecological design.

Our regenerative extra virgin oil

All this effort doesn't just stop in the fields. It takes liquid form in our extra virgin olive oil, which is much more than ecological: it's regenerative. Made from olive trees cultivated with regenerative techniques, our oil is the result of living soil, a healthy ecosystem and an agricultural model that looks to the future.

Our oil represents our way of seeing the world: producing with care, nourishing with regeneration and advancing with respect. Each bottle contains much more than oil — it contains a different way of doing things, cleaner, fairer and more rooted in the territory.

Participating in the Life eCOAdapt50 project has been a recognition of the work we have been carrying out for years at Les Seviques, defending regenerative agriculture that is committed to life, the land and a production model that regenerates instead of destroying.

Being part of this event has been a privilege. Few agricultural companies have access to it, and this reflects the recognition of the work we do at Les Seviques.

From our farm in Terres de l'Ebre, we will continue to actively collaborate in climate adaptation projects, building community, forging alliances and demonstrating that it is possible to produce high-quality food while regenerating the territory.

Roller Crop: a key tool for regenerating the soil

One of our allies on this path is the Roller Crop, a tool that allows us to manage plant cover in an efficient and respectful way. Instead of mowing or plowing, the Roller Crop crushes the vegetation in a controlled manner, creating a protective layer that conserves moisture, prevents erosion and promotes soil regeneration.

This technology —which we distribute through Exeo Ipsum— is an example of how innovation can go hand in hand with respect for the territory, and how small technical decisions can have a major impact on the health of our agricultural ecosystem.
