Welcome to our page dedicated to Organic and Regenerative Agriculture.
At Les Seviques, we embrace this new paradigm as a sustainability project to achieve a balanced ecosystem.
The aim of this practice is to regenerate, stimulate and maintain soil fertility and biodiversity. It promotes a soil that hosts a large amount of life and organic matter and that is able to produce food simply by using the own resources that nature gives us. To achieve this goal we must avoid plowing the crops, maintain plant covers to prevent erosion and avoid exposure to the soil, combine agriculture with livestock, better use of water; decompaction of the land; and to stop depending on chemical fertilizers and phytosanitary that are the basis of the deterioration of the soil and the planet.
At Les Seviques, thanks to these agricultural practices, it allows us to obtain Organic, Biological, Ecological and Regenerative products, where we all benefit: farmers, consumers and the planet itself.
Our mission is to preserve the Terres de l'Ebre through respectful agricultural practices and techniques, using tools such as holistic, keyline design and permaculture.
In Les Seviques we will find two different types of cultivation:
Both worked holistically, we manage to give more fertility to the land and increase water retention, achieving maximum production capacity.
Introducing animals into the system such as the mobile chicken coop and sheep help us drive plant covers, maintain biodiversity and create compost. With the animals in motion we get eggs and meat of the highest quality.
Bees benefit us by pollinating our fruit trees, forests and vegetal covers, helping to maintain biodiversity and giving us a spectacular honey from a thousand flowers.
