Sustainable techniques

Environmental Education

Today on World Environmental Education Day, from "Les Sevics” we want to contribute to the conservation of the environment for this reason we want present a very important practice in the cultivation process in regenerative agriculture. It is about the control of weeds between the rows of the plantations to avoid the use of Herbicide glyphosate, both controversial for environmental and human health, due to its high degree of toxicity.

One of the alternative strategies to the use of herbicides: is the mechanical management of a useful known how fingers” which controls weeds in early stages of growth by preventing their development. The grace of this system is the minimum cultivation we give to the soil (a depth of no more than 2 cm) so as not to harm as much as possible the microorganisms, so indispensable for the regeneration of our soils.

We are delighted to share with you some images and videos of how we apply this technique on our farm, with the aim of raising people's awareness of the importance of preserving and protecting our soils and promoting biodiversity.

With these practices, Les Sevices it not only produces exceptional olive oil, but also leaves a positive mark on the environment. Our mission is not limited to offering quality products, but we are also deeply involved in the preservation of our planet for the next generations, so they can enjoy and live in a better world.

Thank you for being part of this journey towards more sustainable agriculture with a positive impact.
